Btw, how USB module 接駁 into 1955pro 的方法?

I2s 或 SPDIF 或 Balance..... 都可以....
用 SPDIF 或 AES Balance 只可用 96K,
用 I2S 可以到 384K, 可能請田兄修改一下 firmware.....

修改 firmware 沒问题，不过AD1955最高只能到192K，并且时钟频率必须符合下面的规定。
（DAC1955PRO的 I2S 输入，现在的firmware，88.2和96K是256fs，176.4和192K是128fs。）

那幾粒 IC 唔係用 3.3V 就 5V，LT1086 是 low voltage drop at 1V, 我想應該 7-8V 就 ok, 我現在用 9.2V，粒 1086 都幾熱，所以我見議 7-8V 左右。

Window 好麻煩.....
Go to
Control Panel
Select  Sound
On Playback Menu
Highlight  Speaker eUSB audio
Select Properties
Click on advanced menu
You will see the default output format is 16bit 44.1Khz, you can change the default output format to 24 bit 192K.
I am not sure about the support of 384K, you properly need a new driver from ASIO or WASPI to get 384K. I am using Mac, so I get 384K already.

Make sure you select eUSB audio as output device when using  Foobar and Cplayer player.

Use default buffer size. I have the same problem if you adjust the buffer size too big or small. Which software you are using at the moment ? The problems come from the configuration of WIndow. That is why I use Mac for CAS.....

I cannot remember which the default buffer settings were. Could you advise me on the default setting ?
I have tried Window media player, Media Jukebox and foobar2000 and had the same result.
Besides, I am not able to configure the control panel! It is disabled too!

There is a eUSB control panel on your desktop, use that one instead. Beside, try to use ASIO or WASPI

regarding i2s @192kHz sample rate, i didn't have used the ad1955 but after a quick look on the datasheet, different sample rate should set the corresponding dac control register to set the internal oversampling ratio (8x, 4x and 2x), for 44k1 and 48k, it should be set to 8x, for 88k2 and 96k, it should be set to 4x and 2x for 176k4 and 192k. if i understand the datesheet correctly, every sample rate change, the control register must be set accordingly.

since i'm not sure how the original firmware of the 1955pro is implemented, it might be a mismatch of the internal state of the sampling ratio, for example if the internal oversampling ratio has been set to 8x (for 44k1 and 48k) and if you feed a data stream of 96k and 192k, the internal oversampling filter might refuse to work........

apart from this, the output level of the i2s on the usb interface is at 3.3V (LVTTL), again i have no experience using the 26c31 422 line driver, so a level mismatch is also possible.

the output of the i2s output is of no problem driving bare cable of a few inches directly, i have just hook up the output to my test platform which is a 4399 dac.

btw, if i have use i2s to do "off-unit" transmission, i'm using LVDS instead of using rs422.

you can't set specific sampling on windows XP, however, if your front end application (e.g. foobar2000) is capable to talk to a ASIO interface, then sample rate change is possible and native.

for example, if you are going to play different sample rate file in a sequence like 44k1, 44k1, 96k, 192k, 96k....... foobar will try to talk to the ASIO driver and try to change the sample rate accordingly.

playing a 384k file in foobar and you can monitor the reported sample rate from the usb audio crontrol panel,

when you change the file to a, say, dxd (352k8) file, the sample rate will change automatically,

remember, this will only be possible using ASIO otherwise, the audio output stream will be resampled by windows kmixer.

for windows 7 user, if you open the control panel and sound option, you can the following list from the properties window,

please noted that, the list didn't show 88k2, 176k4 (and of coz 352k8 and 384k) @ 24 bit, this is a windows problem but it does not affect application that use ASIO, so you can simply ignore this.

I play sound file by "Decibel" version 1.0b(11).
iTunes can't output 24/192 file, that file will be convert to 16/44.1 to output.
What kind of the "RipCD" software (iTunes,CDriper,EAC...............) is the best for ripping, and what kind of music file is best for CAS(aiff, flac, wav...................)

Itune should be able to export 24/192K.....
Use Ayrewave, you should be able to get 24/192K file to with automatic selection for proper sampling embedded with the file. I found it is better than the itune in term of sound quality.
For Ripping, I am still using itune for quick but make sure you select " error correction" on itune import preferences.....
Some Window user like to use EAC but take almost half an hour to rip a CD. I just give up....
I am using AIFF as it is best for Mac which the album art can be embedded into the file. AIFF is not a compressed file.

I2S小板線路與田雨兄的相同, 只因箱子太小不夠位而自己做罷, 即5V穩壓+26C31那個線路。

之前用隻400ma 萬用牛,電流不夠此板使用,牛發熱...

昨日剛買了隻 20VA 4.5v 牛俾佢用,整流後6.3v,剛好 !
希望此牛放得落專配機箱內啦 !

電池供電會因為電力降低而內阻增大，會很衰聲。
8V 電源用普通的 317 已經唔錯，當然用 1086 的更好。

線路好簡單。SSP 和油麻地都有，用洞洞板做亦可以！

i have built this for a friend using the same chassis that kmax2007 hing used.

from the photos, you can see a display which is used to show the current sample rate that is streamed by the computer. it's a simple 7-segment display and it's tentative. note that the "decimal point" is missing because of the doggy 7-seg display.......sigh.

since my friend doesn't use s/pdif output, i2s output using lvds (hdmi connector) was installed.

the only drawback of this chassis is size, it doesn't have much space for additional connector like the AES/EBU and no room for power transformer, etc.

will try to order some other chassis for trial and will update soon.

1955 Pro AES & SPDIF 只能 support 24/96K.
你用甚麼 Player Software, 要 down sampling....
所以要 I2S 直入。

win7下，比較WASAPI與ASIO，我個人喜歡ASIO：感覺ASIO比較放，相對WASAPI就顯得有些保留似的。
